MOTTOLINO FOR BEGINNER SKIERS

First time on the snow? Discover right now what the Mottolino Ski Area in Livigno can offer you!
First things first. You need a skipass and all the equipment skiing requires.
A skipass is needed to use the whole Livigno Ski Area and you can buy these at one of our ticket offices at the lower lift stations. At Mottolino you can also get this online in the Livigno Skipass section of our online shop and then collect it at the ticket office at the lower cable car station inside our headquarters.
You can also rent all the equipment you need here too. If you rent online you’re entitled to an 18% discount! And at our headquarters you’ll also find Mottolino's partner ski and snowboard school desks where you can make enquiries about one-to-one lessons and courses for adults and children.

Not a bad start is it?

OUR BLUE SLOPES

The ski slopes for you are those shown in blue. Download the ski map to our area here. Everything in our ski area is marked on it. Livigno’s blue slopes are designed to provide safe skiing and snowboarding for beginners - and fun too. Start with the Easy Lift, at the Mottolino cable car upper station, for the only learning area in Livigno at over 2300 metres in altitude. The Yepi Lift, on the other hand, offers two options: choose between a traditional ski slope and our Yepi Area, a fun obstacle-packed trail.

Oh, and did you know that Mottolino also boasts the longest blue slope in the Livigno Ski Area? From the Valfin chair lift (at 2708 metres!) you ski along the whole mountain ridge and continue through the Amanti slope and get to the town 5 km of pure fun later. This is ideal for learners but requires a minimum of experience, as getting to it involves skiing down a section of the Ski Weg from Rifugio Camanel di Planon to the Valfin chair lift lower station.
