Map and recommended trails

From Mottolino gondola bottom terminal ride North along the cycle lane to the mouth of Val Federia. Once you get to the Calcheira Restaurant, you can either follow the dirt road or ride on the lower trail, along the riverside. From “Plan da l’isoleta” the two trails join taking you to the Agriturismo Federia, where Ilenia awaits you to taste great typical food. The itinerary is easy, suitable to everybody.

From Mottolino gondola top terminal ride West along the road taking you to the Baitel trail (small constructions once used by young shepherds). After about 3 km the trail connects to the road taking you to Alpe Mine, where Silvestri Family awaits you. Pay attention to the most exposed spots: we advise you to ride this itinerary only if you are a good level cyclist.

From Mottolino gondola bottom terminal take the main street leading to Esso Petrol Station, located in front of the narrow road going to Larix Park. Cycle on the trail passing through the woods and enjoy the marvelous mountain nature. After 3,7 km you’ll see the dirt road leading to Alpe Mine where Silvestri Family will be awaiting you. We suggest this alternative trail to mid level cyclists.

From Mottolino gondola top terminal ride down heading Passo d’Eira and from there follow the trail taking you to the Vallaccia entrance. Shortly ride up the main street till Agip Petrol station, where you’ll find the second part of the trail going to Malga Trela where Rini Family will welcome you. The itinerary is quite challenging, especially for its lenght: we suggest it to good cyclists. You can even ask for the Gps at Dr. Rent: it will lead you the right way. At the alm you’ll find a charge point for your bike.
To get back to Livigno from Malga Trela, ride down the road towards Cancano: once you see the lake, keep the left and follow the directions towards Val Alpisella. Once you get to the top, ride down the trail towards Alpisella restaurant and continue heading Livigno. The cycle lane will take you back to Mottolino.
