The winter season in Livigno is coming to an end, besides the latest snowfalls at high altitude that brought over 70 cm of fresh snow (have a look at the webcam archive to see how the landscape changed over the past days).
On the slopes the situation seems to be back a few months, especially at the top of the ski area where the conditions are really similar to winter!
We had a small survey within the company to have a ranking of the 3 top slopes that you can’t miss in the last days, trying the emotion of a winter skiing with the advantage of a spring weather. Here’s what it came out:
- Black / Valfin: first position is dedicated to the top black slope where you can ski on these spring days. It is the descent you find on the left side of lift Valfin that, thanks to the exposition and the altitude, still maintains great conditions during the day. Of course, this is a slope dedicated to expert skiers due to the vertical drop and the steep terrain.
- Sponda Fis: the name says it all. Fis indicates that this slope is perfect for alpine ski races. Why? It is the favourite slope for the athletes of the discipline because of how technical it is, and for how it changes along the terrain. Sponda Fis has an optimal exposition, and if compared to Nera Valfin, it’s a red slope, suitable to intermediate skiers. If you want to enjoy that to the fullest, ski on it in the morning… it will be amazing!
- Trepalle: after a good breakfast at M’Eating Point, the best way to start your day is ski on slope Trepalle. A pretty simple red slope, but with the added value of having a base of artificial snow. Best time to ski: morning or first hours of the day.
I can only wish you a great end of season at Mottolino, reminding you another reason to come visit us this weekend: tomorrow, Snowland Livigno Music Festival is about to start, 3 days of music and pure fun.
